The Institute for International Public Policy offers The IIPP Fellowship Program for the year 2011/12 in USA

Upon acceptance and admission to the IIPP Fellowship Program, Fellows must commit to a multi-year education and training program that requires three consecutive summers of fellowship-related activities; study abroad for a minimum of one semester during their junior year of college; an internship; a summer language institute (if the Fellow is not competent/fluent in a foreign language); and application to and completion of a Master’s-level graduate program focused on international affairs. The junior year study abroad component must be completed before a Fellow graduates from college. An IIPP Fellow must complete all requirements of the program within seven years.

Eligibility:

  1. Are enrolled full-time at an accredited four–year baccalaureate-granting institution
  2. Are U.S. Citizens or legal residents (documentary support required)
  3. Have a minimum 3.2 grade point average (on a 4.0 scale)
  4. Possess excellent critical analysis and leadership skills
  5. Have a strong demonstrated interest in international affairs, public policy and language training
  6. Are an underrepresented minority (African American, Hispanic, Asian American, American Indian, Alaskan Native, Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander)
  7. Plan to seek admission to a two-year master’s degree program in international affairs

Application Process:

  1. As part of the online application you will be prompted to enter the name, phone number and valid e-mail addresses for each of the two people who will provide recommendations for you. At least one of the people you enter must be a faculty member from your institution. Once their contact information is entered, the system will send an automatic email to each person with specific instructions they must follow in order to complete the required online recommendation form.
  2. These persons should be able to speak to your commitment to international interests, maturity, academic ability, and potential for success in a graduate degree program.
  3. Periodically return to your account to verify that your recommendations have been received. Please understand that our application requires recommenders to complete a very specific recommendation form. Therefore, letters of recommendation will not be accepted. Please advise each person to include all supporting comments on the recommendation form provided.
  4. Should your contacts encounter problems trying to access the recommendation form, please encourage them to seek assistance from our technical support staff.  Technical support may be reached anytime at techsupport@uncfsp.org.
